Well here we are, one day away from New Year‘s eve and I am ashamed, I am prejudice and I am angered. Why you ask? Well I will tell you why. I live in a country that once cared about its citizens, they once wanted their people to succeed and to thrive and they put our country, the United States, first and foremost. We had leaders who strived to preserve the integrity of our great nation and preserve the core beliefs for which this country was built upon. The United States put its country and citizens first.
I can only fathom the responses to what is about to spew from the hole in my face that sometimes I cannot control. Yet I am pleased and eager to proceed with what is about to be said. (Deep cleansing breath, inhale… exhale…) Over the course of a few years, we as Americans have seen destruction and devastation across the globe. Just to name a few, the earthquake in Japan, famine and riots in Somalia and well I don’t really care about those other countries. Natural disasters happen almost every year and every time one happens, take a wild and obvious guess on who is there to send aid, whether is be monetary or nutritional, to these devastated regions of the globe. If you guessed, our country the United States then you are as smart as I thought you were. We, here, do not have many natural disasters, at least of large magnitudes, but the last one we had devastated our southern border states with a courtesy ravaging by Hurricane Katrina. Again take a guess on who gave us aid… If you guessed no one, then you would be correct. Why is it that every time a country other than the United States needs help, we are always there to give whatever is needed.
Take North Korea for instance. A country devastated not by a natural disaster but destroyed by a tyrannical ego-centric ruler. Kim Jung Il, ruled that country with an iron communist thumb, controlling every aspect of that country. Yet, once he passed, the United States has intentions of sending over 700 tons in food supplies to aid a country that despises America. Along with that the United States is the largest donor across the board to every other nation, whether it is monetary or nutritional. Our “leaders” are so eager to help other countries, for some reason or another, these idiots and non-Americans feel it is our duty to aid other nations in times of crisis. But wait, what about the United States citizens?
Here in America we have food shortages, hunger, people living in poverty and squalor, children going without education and the basic needs, and the working class that isn’t working. Does this make any sense to anyone? Why is it that the United States and its so-called leaders are so eager to help other countries, who have not helped us out at all, but fail countless times to aid its own citizens. Personally, I saw screw all other countries if they have famine or natural disasters, it isn’t our problem to help them. Since we have problems here, we need to fix ourselves prior to helping any other nation. The financial state of our country is in no way shape or form capable of doling out aid to any other country.
The United States government has failed its citizens time and time again, putting other countries first and letting us fall into oblivion. This country and the insensitive government needs to make repairing the United States its first and foremost priority. We, the United States citizens, are what make this country great and run, yet we are not rewarded for all of our hard work. Our tax dollars go to unforgiving and thankless countries time and time again, with nothing in return. I do not recall any voting ballots that had a question on whether we want to give our tax dollars and food supplies to other countries, I bet if there was, that the majority vote would be for “No.”
For the New Year, US government why don’t you do us all a favor. Stop trying to be the Bank of the World and giving our money to other undeserving countries. Focus on making America better and help this country prosper for another 100 years. Keep your focus on bettering education, the working class and work on reducing the national deficit (I bet if the books are open we will find a great portion of that deficit it due to this financial aid). Put America and its citizens first.
