2012 New Year’s Resolution – #2: Abolish Illegal Immigration benefits

Immigrant rights march for amnesty in downtown...

Mostly every legal citizen of the United States has at least two things in common. One, either individually or our ancestors immigrated to the United States. And two, either individually or our ancestors assimilated to the cultures, laws and regulations and language spoken here. The purpose to immigrate here was to get away from persecution and the rule of a religious tyranny and to build a better life for ones’ self and the family. In order to be accepted here, one had to commit to assimilating into the culture and taking a vow a celibacy to one and only one country, the United States. Our ancestors left behind a land that they no longer desired and to take an oath of dedication to their new mother land, the United States. These people, our ancestors and you and I, we are called Americans plain and simple.

So why is it that now, blacks, mexicans, chinese and so forth are considering themselves; African-American, Mexican-American, Chinese-American? You are American plain and simple. If you are a legal citizen of this great nation, shut the hell up about calling yourself these ridiculous monikers because you are not any of those, you are an American.

Apologies for the off base rant. And apologies for the focus on one race within this resolution, due to the sheer number of this type of illegal it is only fair to reference this race. Back to the focus of this resolution. Continue reading

Maher witnessed Tebow Jesusless on eve of his birth

Bill Maher - Caricature

My point exactly: Comedian Bill Maher creates firestorm with profane tweet about Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow – NFL News | FOX Sports on MSN.

This article could not come at a more perfect time for me, right after my last blog for 2012 New Year’s Resolutions for America and its’ citizens in regards of freedom of speech.

It’s the latest craze! Move over planking, owling and horsemaning (or whatever you call it), here comes Tebowing! The stupid phenomenon where Tim Tebow honestly thinks that his savior Jesus Christ helped him throw a touchdown or run the ball into the end zone. I am somewhat religious, but in no way shape or form do I believe for one iota of a second that Jesus took time out of his busy day to come down and hold Tebows’ hand and help him throw a TD pass to a receiver that knows or believes that Tebow through the ball and the receiver used HIS hands to catch the ball and run it in for a TD. Or that Jesus put his feet into Tebows’ feet and ran for some huge yardage into the end zone. I have been watching football, well ever since I can remember liking football, 30 some odd years, and I have never seen a more commercialized action of praising another entity in winning at something, then I have with Tim Tebow.

Bill Maher, an atheist, was purely poking fun of the belief that an unseen entity can be the sole reason someone failed at something. And, if you read between the lines he is stating the obvious that since Tim Tebow did not perform to his magical super ways, does that mean Tebow blamed the devil for his misfortune? No Tebow did not. Why is it that when someone does great they thank Jesus Christ for it, but when they fail you do not hear a word about Jesus Christ whatsoever. And now Christians, I am sorry in my belief one of the worst religious organizations there is (because there are some crazy ass Christians, mostly born again) is calling for a boycott of the Bill Maher show. Excuse me this is America, Bill Maher has every right to say what he wants about a religious entity. For one, he is atheist, he does not believe in God or Jesus Christ, and two he has the freedom to give his opinion on his views. Whats next, do you want him to apologize for what he said, if so shame on you for expecting him to do so. What Bill Maher did was not blasphemy if he doesn’t believe in god or jesus christ you idiots.

Oh and by the way, you wacky Christians you, think about this, you are calling for a boycott of someone who has a cable network show and speaks his mind. Do you think for a second that everyone in America is going to suddenly turn their backs on his show? Hell fucking no, you just gave a very good reason for more people to tune in and hear what he has to say, so HBO should be thanking you all and expecting a huge increase in viewership soon.

2012 New Year’s Resolutions – #5 Reality Check for Television

Reality Check for Television

I’m guilty of the hidden pleasures of watching people I do not know succeed, get belittled by TV bosses, fights erupting from egotistical self-absorbed divas, and ultimately fail if anything else, as well as a vast majority of boob-tube zombies. On a monthly basis it appears that American television is becoming more of a centrifuge for false advertising and scripting of the self-absorbed glorification of individuals’ lives, properly known as “Reality” shows.

Reality shows have run rampant, whether it be singing, dancing, cooking, survival or simply everyday lives, it seems that every network has at least one of these shows . If it’s not judges and America judging the vocal cords of aspiring singers, evaluating the ninja-like knife skills of a new chef, or the development of dancing skills for a “star”, then its a group of individuals and their desperate attempt to survive in a land where cultures and people have survived for hundreds of year and the worst of all “Reality shows, self-absorbed families of once forgotten movie stars, singers or athletes that are washed up and struggle to find a way to get back into the lime light that they require to make themselves feel important and show the true essence of being an egotistical nightmare. 2012 New Year’s resolutions – For America and its’ citizens

English: New Year's Resolutions postcard

Every year, millions make them and the same ignore them. It is that time of year again where the idle banter around the water cooler, the chit-chat between friends and family, focus in on what is to improve upon, courses to be altered and lives to change. I am speaking of the promises made to ourselves every New Year, called resolutions. Some want to lose their spare tire, others want to get out of their financial hole and others want to change the world.

For the next 5 days, I will be delivering to you a count-down of new New Years resolutions that America and its citizens should make as a collective group to better our nation. Follow along and feel free to banter your insights and comments, and if you feel you have a resolution that should make it to the list let me know and if it is better than one of mine I will focus in on that one for a particular day.

Muslims assimilate by celebrating Christmas!

Original caption: Celebrating Christmas with a...

My faith in immigrants, welcoming the culture and celebrations of this great country of ours, has been enhanced somewhat after reading this article: For Muslims celebrating Christmas, it’s a holiday, not a holy day – latimes.com.

All too often you hear about immigrants being welcome into our country, to just turn around and ignore our cultures, holidays and laws and regulations. They do not consider themselves Americans, they instead consider themselves Mexican-America, Asian-American, African-American, Muslim-American or whatever, you get the picture. We accept these people and they do not want to even learn our language most of the time. If we become a citizen of their country, I am quite sure they expect us to assimilate to their cultures, holidays and laws and regulations. I am getting off target here though. Continue reading
